April 16, 2012

FORT WAYNE — Churubusco’s boys golf team had a strong showing at the Carroll Invitational at Autumn Ridge Saturday.

The Eagles placed fourth in the invite that was won by the host Chargers.

Ryan Mayer finished in the top 10, shooting an 82 and tying for 10th place.

Freshman Beau Barkley had a solid round of 84, carding a team low 39 on the front nine.

Finishing out scoring for Churubusco was Parker Conrad, 87; Brad Martin, 89; and Brandon Norris, 95.

“I am very pleased with our finish today”, said Churubusco Head Coach Todd Fry. “There were some good teams here today, and finishing fourth out of 10 teams is not a bad accomplishment.”
