CHURUBUSCO â€” Churubuscoâ€™s football team, currently ranked sixth in Class 2A in Indiana according to the Associated Press, will take on a larger school Friday.
The 4-0 Eagles will play the 2-2 Hornets in a game that kicks off at 7 p.m.
Angola is 2-1 in the conference, with wins over West Noble and Eastside. The Hornets fell last week to Lakeland, 31-0.
For Churubusco, the Eagles trailed for the first time last week against Eastside. After the Blazers took a 13-0 lead, â€™Busco stormed back with 31 unanswered points to win 31-13.
Churubusco was on the winning side last year against Angola, taking a 42-0 win. In fact, since the teams began playing every year in 2005, the Hornets have yet to beat the Eagles.
Despite that fact, Eagle Head Coach Paul Sade was taking nothing for granted.
