’Busco netters top NECC foe

September 5, 2013

CHURUBUSCO — Churubusco’s tennis team has showed steady improvement this season, as the Eagles have a 2-1 record in the Northeast Corner Conference.

The Eagles haven’t posted a winning NECC record in tennis for the last several years.

Tuesday night, ’Busco downed Central Noble by a 4-1 score.

The toughest match was No. 1 singles, where Luke Lillmars battled three sets to win, 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.

His twin brother, Landon Lillmars, won a lopsided No. 2 singles match, 6-1, 6-1.
