’BUSCO: Pro motocross rider hurt in crash

BUTLER — A professional motocross rider from Churubusco was hurt after he crashed his dirt bike Saturday.
Bradley Sordelet, 24, was practicing near Butler Saturday afternoon when he was trying to negotiate a jump and crashed.
According to the Department of Natural Resources, Sordelet fractured his lower leg.
Sordelet was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne and is listed in fair condition.
DNR probing off-road vehicle accident in Whitley County
The Department of Natural Resources is also investigating an off-road crash that happened Friday evening involving two Columbia City girls.
Cecelia Rentschler, 15, and Madison Cochran, 16, were operating a go kart on private property near 146 W. CR 150 N.
According to the DNR, Rentschler was operating the vehicle in a dirt field when she lost control while turning, flipping the go kart on its side and pinning Cochran’s arm to the ground.
Cochran was transported to Parkview Whitley and Rentschler was not injured.
DNR officer Rodney Clear was assisted by the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department.
