’Busco tennis falls to Northrop

CHURUBUSCO — Churubusco’s boys tennis team dropped a home contest to Fort Wayne Northrop Wednesday.

The visiting Bruins beat the Eagles 4-0.

In No. 1 singles, ’Busco junior Luke Lillmars lost to Northrop’s Alex Stavretis in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.

At No. 2 singles, Eagle junior Landon Lillmars dropped a straight-set match to Mike Ankenbruck, 6-2, 6-1.

In No. 3 singles, Churubusco’s Cody Luttman fell in a straight-set match to Gavin Neyman by a final of 6-2, 7-5.

In the lone doubles match of the evening, Landon Pearson and Derek Bowyer of Churubusco lost in straight sets to John Tuttle and Tyler Jordan of Northrop, 6-0, 6-0.
