’Busco tops Eastside in 5 games

BUTLER – After a long week of matches for Churubusco’s volleyball team, the Lady Eagles defeated Eastside Thursday night for their third match in four days.

’Busco won in five games after the long trip to Butler. After winning the first game 25-15, the Lady Eagles lost the second in a close 25-22 competition. Churubusco retaliated with a 25-11 win in the third game, but lost the fourth 25-19.

The Lady Eagles won the fifth and final game by a close 15-12 margin.
Gabby Jones led ’Busco in aces with three. She also had 10 digs.
Lacey Pulley had 45 assists, Churubusco’s best. She also chipped in an ace, a block and five digs.

’Busco is now 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the Northeast Corner Conference.
The Lady Eagles are back in action Tuesday, hosting Central Noble.
