October 12, 2012

CHURUBUSCO — For the second time in just nine days the Churubusco Lady Eagle volleyball team played host to the Lakeland Lady Lakers, this time in an opening-round game in the Northeast Corner Conference Tournament.

As Yogi Berra once said, “It was déjà` vu all over again,” as the host Lady Eagles repeated their earlier performance taking a relatively easy 25-13, 25-6, 25-14 straight set win over the Lady Lakers to advance to Saturday’s pool play.

“It’s the post-season now, the regular season is over ,” said Goings. “And we are 1-0 in the post season.”

The Lady Eagles return to action in pool play at Westview on Saturday.

The Eagles will open with Prairie Heights at 9 a.m. and continue with Westview and the winner of the Central Noble-Fremont match in pool play.
