CANI seeks applicants for child care program

COLUMBIA CITY — CANI (Community Action of Northeast Indiana) is seeking applicants for its Child Care Assistance program.

The Child Care Assistance program provides subsidized child care vouchers for eligible low-income households.

To qualify for the program, parents must be working and/or going to school and live in Allen, DeKalb, Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, or Whitley counties. Parents must apply in the county where they reside.

The waiting list application can be viewed and printed from the CANI website, www.canihelp.org or completed in person at a CANI site.

To schedule an appointment, applicants can call CANI at 1-800-589-2264, press “1” for Family Support.

CANI helps communities, families, and individuals remove the causes and conditions of poverty.
