The fundraiser came at the end of a week, which focuses on literacy nationwide. At the Farmer’s Market, participants were able to buy a raffle ticket for a Kindle Fire and local celebrities read books to children. State Rep. Kathy Heuer reads a book to a group of kids. The children also had the opportunity to choose a book to take home.
