Carol Lehman, 74

Carol D. Lehman, 74, of Larwill, died at 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born Sept. 16, 1936, she was a daughter of Maurice and Esther (Circle) Mettler.
She attended school in the Lake Township, Allen County school system. On May 26, 1956 she married Clarence E. “Jiggs” Lehman in Columbia City. After her marriage she and her husband made their home in Whitley County. For nearly 20 years she worked at the S & L Truck Stop in Columbia City.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clarence E. “Jiggs” Lehman of Larwill; son, Dale Lehman of Larwill; daughter, Sharon Jean (Bill) Albert of Warren, Ohio; brother Thomas (Cindy) Mettler and sister, Nancy (Bill) Smith, both of Columbia City; grandchildren, Keiley (Bob) Maggert of Columbia City, Brittiany and Mark Sheets of Warren, Ohio; great-grandchildren, JayQwan and Jayden Crenshaw of Warren, Ohio and Nikolas and David Malott of Columbia City; and special friend, Krystal Blue Comparet.
She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson, Javarie Crenshaw.
At Mrs. Lehman’s request there will be no visitation or service. Burial will take place at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Lehman may be made to the donor’s choice of charity. Arrangements were entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City.
