COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City High School saluted its top students at its Honors Convocation Monday evening. Awards were handed out to students for academic achievements, scholarships, service work and excellence in athletics. CCHS Principal Jennifer Reiff praised the top Eagles of 2013, lauding their hard work in the classroom and the community.

Classroom awards were given, recognizing students for achievement by subject. The top 10 overall students were also recognized. They are, in order of class ranking: Aakash Patel, Tiffany Harber, Richelle Menzie, Adam Wilkinson, Lindsay Angel, Ryan Romanowski, Jordan Bickle, Corinne Kauffman, Carlee Hearld and Emily Lewis.

The best athletes were honored by sport, with Derek Hinen receiving the Honor Blanket for boys’ sports and Megan Deutsch and Carlee Hearld sharing the Tina Parker Memorial Honor Tray for the girls.
