CCHS choirs garner several awards: Schaefer continues winning streak for 5th week

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia Cityt High School’s two show choirs competed Saturday in Shelbyville.

The groups competed against 15 other show choirs from Indiana and Ohio.
City Lights won 2nd runner-up in the Women’s Division.

City Lights placed third with Bridgette Hinen winning best performer.
City Heat placed fourth with Darrik Brower winning best performer.

Allison Yoder and Hannah Schaefer won their second caption award for best soloists within a show. They sang, “The Flower Duet” from LAKME. It is a French aria by Léo Delibes, and it is classified as a duet, but it has two equally significant and independent melodies being sung at the same time.
