CCHS golfer takes talent to philanthropic level
COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City High School stand-out linkster Tyler Green has partnered with the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) to raise funds for Leadership Whitley County. Recently, the AJGA initiated "Leadership Links," a program that teaches charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program motivates junior players to donate their time and talent to local organizations. When Green learned of the program, he informed his father, Columbia City Parks Department Director Mark Green, he wanted Leadership Whitley County to benefit from Leadership Links. Green noted his dad has been involved in Leadership Whitley County."He has taught me the importance of being a positive leader in our community since I was very young,” Green said. “I know that he has always talked very highly of Leadership Whitley County.” Individuals and businesses can sponsor Green through a pledge for birdies.
