March 18, 2014

Lyndsey Brommer

COLUMBIA CITY — Lyndsey Brommer, a 16-year-old junior at Columbia City High School, competed and won a chance to go to FCCLA, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Nationals in San Antonio, Texas the week of July 6-10 to be a representative from Indiana and compete for the Leadership Title.

She was judged and selected from numerous other FCCLA students across Indiana the weekend of March 6-8 in Indianapolis.

She prepared a 40-page portfolio on her teen leadership role in Whitley County.

Then she presented her portfolio, gave a speech, and it was followed by the judges doing a question and answer period on her presentation.
She also had to mentor a younger FCCLA member for the past year as part of the project to help them also become more involved in the community.
Lyndsey is also a member of National Honors Society, FFA, Key Club and SADD at Columbia City High School.
