CCHS show choirs debut in prime fashion; ISMS group preps for competition

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City High School’s show choirs, City Lights and City Heat, opened competition season Saturday at Twin Lakes in Monticello.

City Lights, an all girls choir, earned first-runner up. City Heat, a mixed boy-girl squad, took home second-runner up.

CCHS’s show choirs will compete again in two weeks at Northrop High School.

ISMS
Karyle Genth, music teacher at Indian Springs Middle School, is well-known in Northeast Indiana for her dedication to the show choir community.

This will be her 14th year directing the middle school’s show choir, City Stars.

Although she in charge of the choir, she’s not the only one that’s dedicated.
