CHANGING CLASSES: Numbers may mean changes for local schools

February 28, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — The IHSAA has released its enrollment figures that will determine sports classification for the next two years.

2013-14 and 2014-15 are the schools years covered by the new figures.
Official reclassification has not occurred yet. Sectional assignments for the sports affected by the enrollment numbers (football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and soccer) will happen in April and will receive final approval April 29.

While the assignments are not official, a glance at the enrollment numbers could indicate changes for some area schools.
