BERNE — Churubusco’s boys basketball team took the 100-mile round-trip drive to South Adams High School Tuesday for the opening round of the Starfire-hosted sectional.
The Eagles faced a competitive Adams Central team, falling 54-33.
The Flying Jets jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first quarter, with Churubusco’s lone bucket coming from Corey Sarrazin.
The second quarter was a different story for the Eagles, as ’Busco outscored Adams Central 14-12, led by Brent Simmons with eight points.
