SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko High School students will bring an air of fairytale magic to the stage Friday and Saturday.

“Cinderella,” WHS’s spring musical, features a prince charming, fairy god mother and a homely girl turned princess. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” will be performed at 7 p.m. at the high school. Tickets will be available at the door for $6 for adults and $5 for students.

Within the show’s plot, Prince Christopher, played by Michael Thompson, declares that every eligible girl in the kingdom is to be fitted with a glass slipper.

He hopes to find the owner of the shoe, which was left behind at a recent palace ball.

If he finds the foot the slipper fits, that girl will become his bride.
King Maximillian and Queen Constantina, portrayed by Jalen Gregory and Sidney Walters, hope to finally meet their son’s true love.

Trying to derail the plans of the prince are Lia Gregory, Shelby Smiley, and Ivory West who play Cinderella’s jealous stepsisters.

Cinderella is portrayed by Jasmine Gregory. Other cast members include Jonathan Johnson, Brandon Egolf, Aime Fortman, as well as others WHS students.
