City makes bid selection on Westgate project

COLUMBIA CITY — Several years ago, when Columbia City annexed the Westgate area, located west of the city, officials identified some drainage issues.

At that time, the city collaborated with Whitley County officials to make some repairs to the east side of the annexation.

In 2005, Westgate had severe flooding, and in 2006 there was a study and proposed improvement project — to the tune of $300,000.
