COLUMBIA CITY â€” Police are on the lookout for a black 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup truck stolen from a residence on Holden Road sometime last night or this morning.
According to Columbia City Police Department Capt. Brian Anspach, reports of several vehicle break-ins, as well as two vehicle thefts, have occurred in the city since early evening Thursday with similar activity going back several days.
â€śIn the past week or so, weâ€™ve been having some reports of vehicles being entered,â€ť Anspach said this morning.
According to Anspach, calls were received last night about residentsâ€™ vehicles being entered in the 300 block of North Elm Street.
At about 8 p.m. Thursday, a Ford pickup truck was stolen from a residence on Pinecrest Street. That truck was recovered this morning on South Columbia Parkway.
At about 6:30 this morning, the Dodge pickup was stolen at Holden Road.
Anspach said the truck is black and has a large decal in the back window.
