COLUMBIA CITY – Rotarian Wade Hale, a resident of Crooked Lake, north of Columbia City, presented his Rotary Classification Speech this week, outlining his personal and professional life to fellow Rotarians.
Hale has been a club member for about 18 months. Born and raised in Quincy, Washington, located in mid-state, he excelled in academics and athletics as a youngster.
He had aspirations to play football at Washington State University until an injury sidelined his collegiate athletic pursuits.
He then enlisted for a four-year stint in the U.S. Air Force and achieved a degree in mechanical engineering.
Following his military service, Hale moved to the Columbia City area, accepting a job at United Technologies here.
