Circle of Friends ended the year with its annual picnic at Morsche’s Park in Columbia City.

The Columbia City High School sponsored club holds a picnic in May to celebrate the friendships created during the year, and to welcome the eighth graders from Indian Springs Middle School to the high school.

Ali Ioane, Functional Life Skills teacher at ISMS and Karen Koday, Functional Life Skills teacher at CCHS, work together with Circle of Friends to create a day filled with food, fun and games.

The students took charge and organized all of the activities for the day.
They planned the menu and then worked together to set up the tables and chairs, serve the meal and clean up afterwards.

The students spent the day playing kickball, badminton, and hanging out together at the playground.

Each year the students look forward to this day as it is a culmination and celebration of the year together.
