Col. City baseball season ends

The Columbia City Eagle baseball team fell to Northfield Saturday morning in the second round of the Bellmont sectional by a score of 4-3.

After drawing a bye for the first round, the Eagles had a few extra days to practice.

In the first and second innings both teams posted strong defensive standings, keeping each other from scoring.

In the top of the third frame, Travis Herbst hit a single, followed by a triple by Keaton Reed that scored Herbst, putting the Eagles on the board.
