Col. City battles in strong NHC meet

May 14, 2014

ck teams struggled against a strong field in the Northeast Hoosier Conference meet this week.

With the odds against them, Columbia City’s boys placed seventh and the girls took eighth out of eight schools in the NHC.

The meet began Friday, but was postponed to Monday after thunderstorms hit New Haven.

Along with that distraction, some athletes were injured or unable to participate.

Despite the poor overall team outcome, the squads posted several good individual placings.
