Col. City girls golf loses by one stroke

HUNTINGTON — Columbia City’s girls golf team suffered a one-stroke loss at LaFontaine Golf Club in Huntington Wednesday.

Despite a competitive score of 191, Huntington North edged out the Lady Eagles, posting a score of 190.

Two Columbia City linksters finished with 44 strokes, Macenzie Lane and Taylor Daniel.

The match-medalist was Maddie Kennedy, of Huntington North, who scored a 43.

Cheyenne Johnson also scored in the 40s for Columbia City, shooting a 49.
Other Columbia City varsity scores include: Athena Arnold, 54; Allison Yoder, 56; and Sydney Ford, 56.

The Lady Eagles are now 3-7.
