Col. City girls golf season opens

SYRACUSE — Columbia City’s girls golf team opened the fall sports season in Whitley County on the road against Wawasee Tuesday night at Maxwelton Golf Course.

With official practices beginning Friday, the Lady Eagles only had two practices to prepare for their first match, falling to the Lady Warriors in a 20-stroke match, 197-217.

Macenzie Lane led the Lady Eagles, shooting a 49, followed by Cheyenne Johnson who scored a 56.

Allison Yoder shot a 58 and Sydney Ford finished off varsity scoring with 62 strokes.
