Col. City sectional play begins tonight

February 27, 2013

HUNTERTOWN — Carroll High School is playing host to what many northeast Indiana basketball advocates are calling one of the toughest sectionals in northeast Indiana.

Sectional play began last night, as Northrop knocked the host Chargers out of the state tournament by a 58-46 score.

Columbia City plays its opening round tonight, taking on a struggling, 2-20, East Noble squad.

Though the Eagles may have a nearly effortless win tonight, considering their 76-35 domination of the Knights in regular-season play, Columbia City has had two strong wins coming into sectional action.
