Col. City tennis falls to Leo in close match

No. 3 singles player Katie Doehrmann returns a ball in CC's loss to Leo Wednesday night, 3-2.

Columbia City’s girls tennis team fell to Leo Wednesday night, 3-2.
The Lady Eagles’ lone winners of the night were the two doubles teams.
No. 1 doubles, Sydney Ford and Macie Hinen defeated their opponents by a score of 6-1, 6-1.

In No. 2 doubles, Bayley Smith and Cassie Bosselman tied their Leo opponents after winning 6-2 then falling 6-2, but went into the tie breaker with clear heads and conquered the last set 7-5.

The singles players struggled with their positions against Leo.
No. 1 singles player Rachel Flauding fell to her opponent with a score of 6-0, 6-2.

A hard match was played by No. 2 singles player Aubrey Wright, but she was also defeated 6-3, 7-5.

Katie Doehrmann, playing No. 3 singles, lost 6-3, 6-1.
The Columbia City tennis team is back in action tonight against New Haven.
