Col. City woman admits to probation violation

December 20, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — A Columbia City woman admitted Monday she violated her probation.

Heather Burns, 28, was on probation for multiple drug-related charges.
Her probation officer, Ed Beber, had made a petition alleging a probation violation. The petition stated Burns had tested positive for a controlled substance.

Monday, by the counsel of her attorney, Brad Voelz, Burns admitted her violation.

Voelz said he advised Burns to admit the violation and try to get on work release or home detention.
