Columbia City and Whitko girls face off

November 10, 2011

SOUTH WHITLEY — In the last decade, Columbia City has won 10 out of 12 games against the Wildcats.
But Whitko can’t be taken lightly this season.
The Lady ’Cats have a game under their belt already, winning decisively over Central Noble Tuesday night, 63-33.
Whitko is under the direction of new head coach Brandon Bradley, who is working to get the Lady Wildcats their first winning season since 2008.
What better way to prove himself than a win over Columbia City?
The Lady Eagles competed in a scrimmage Tuesday, but have yet to get their first-game jitters out of the way.
Though Columbia City hasn’t played a full game yet, the Lady Eagles have five seniors on the roster who bring a lot of experience to the team.
Columbia City returns seven varsity players from last season who have the opportunity to capitalize on the Lady ’Cats’ young centers.
Whitko’s sophomore centers Bailee Juillerat (5-foot-10) and Jordan Hull (6-foot-0) combined for 16 points against Central Noble.

Who do you think will win?
