Columbia City boys track awards

Columbia City’s track team recently honored its top athletes.

From left, Tryzel Jenkins (Most Improved Athlete), Garrett Vandersaul (Most Valuable Thrower), David Fulk (Rookie of the Year), Brenden Zoltek (Most Valuable Runner), Lucas Hahn (Most Valuable Jumper), Alex Fritz (Coaches Award) and Matt Rethlake (Most Valuable Participant).

Other awards include: Rethlake (1st-Team All-Northeast Hoosier Conference High Jump, 2nd-Team All-NHC Long Jump and Academic All-State), Brenden Zoltek (Honorable Mention NHC 1,600-Meter Run), Lucas Hahn (Honorable Mention NHC Pole Vault), Alex Fritz (Academic All-State), Ben Fausey (Academic All-State), Wyatt Larkey (Academic All-State), and Adam Bernhard (Academic All-State).
