COLUMBIA CITY â€” There are many reasons that a game can get away from a team. Sometimes itâ€™s missed opportunities that send a team down to defeat, while other times turnovers may be the culprit.
Friday night was a combination of early missed scoring opportunities, five turnovers and a last second field goal that handed the Columbia City Eagles a 17-14 Northeast Hoosier Conference loss at the hands of the visiting East Noble Knights.
â€śWe just beat ourselves,â€ť Eagle head coach Randy Hudgins said. â€śMissed opportunities were the biggest thing.â€ť
