FORT WAYNE â€” The Columbia City Lady Eagles basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak Friday night at North Side.
The Lady Eagles won decisively, 59-44, after falling to Snider, Marion and Leo.
Columbia City jumped out to a 11-0 lead to start the game and held the Lady Redskins to a slim two points in the first quarter off a pair of free throws (19-2).
Macie Hinen got four of her eight points in the last two minutes of the first quarter.
Senior Sidney Bunyan scored four of Columbia Cityâ€™s 11 second quarter points against North Side.
Bunyan had 10 points, three assists and two steals on the game.
The Lady Eagles led 30-15 at halftime.
Emily Whiteleather had 12 rebounds and nine points.
Both Sarah Opliger and Hinen tallied eight.
The Lady Eagles host Bishop Dwenger Tuesday.
