COLUMBIA CITY â€” The rain came early in Friday nightâ€™s Columbia City home football game against Northeast Hoosier Conference foe Homestead, and with them came a flood of Eagle offensive woes.
With leading rusher Adam Neely on the sidelines in a cast, the Eagles were victimized for seven interceptions and had extreme difficulty finishing drives against the Spartans. The end result was a 41-6 loss for the Eagles.
On a wet night, Columbia City finished the contest with eight turnovers, and it was the first of those turnovers that helped give the Spartans the early lead.
The Eagles look to rebound next week as they travel to Dekalb for a NHC contest with the Barons.View more articles in:
