COMING DOWNTOWN: Farmers market to open Saturday

COLUMBIA CITY — The local farmers market will kick off its season with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday at 8 a.m.
This year the market will host 48 vendors featuring locally made crafts, jewelry, baked goods, vegetables, plants and more.
The farmers market will be open each Saturday until Oct. 31. at the courthouse square from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Entertainment will be open to those who wish to perform for tips.
Chris Lilly, the market’s master, is going on his fourth year with the farmers market. “There are more food vendors this year which includes everything from eggs, meats, baked goods, candies and jellies.”
A second location will be open Wednesday at the Tractor Supply parking lot from 3 to 7 p.m.
