Coming to the rescue

Post & Mail photo/Becky Hand — Emergency crews and Samaritan helicopter responded Friday afternoon to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Lincolnway West. The collision caused one motorist to be ejected. Police and firefighters closed the westbound lanes of U.S. 30 west of Lincolnway and re-routed traffic northwest on Lincolnway. The stretch of highway west of the intersection served as a landing zone for the helicopter. The accident remains under investigation.
