COLUMBIA CITY â€” The Whitley County Board of Commissioners put the finishing touches on the CEDIT proposal at the first meeting of 2013 Monday.
The plan was amended to allow $100,000 to be put toward repair work on County Bridge 10, which runs over Carter Ditch on County Road 600 N. The total cost of the project will be approximately $215,00, with the remainder of the funds coming from CUMbridge and other sources.
The Commissioners also appointed new officers for 2013. George Schrumpf was named chairman for the year, with Don Amber appointed as vice-chairman.
In other business, the Commissioners appointed Paula Grawcock to be the Churubusco Plan Commission representative by a 3-0 vote. The Board also approved a natural gas bid from Border Energy. The Interlocal Agreement for solid waste was approved for 2013 in other business as well.
