Council fills board appointments

COLUMBIA CITY — The Columbia City Common Council made several board appointments Tuesday night at its regular meeting.
The board approved the appointment of Marquis Jones to the city’s Board of Zoning Appeals.
The council also tabbed Don Sexton to be the council’s representative on the City/County Joint Planning and Building Department Advisory Board.
For the Whitley County Economic Development Commission, the board recommended Councilman Roger Seymoure.
Seymoure will have to be approved by the commission for that appointment.
For the Columbia City Redevelopment Commission, the city council had three candidates for appointment and selected Kevin Snell and Jerry Freewalt to serve in the one-year term.
