COUNTY MOVES TO ADVISORY LEVEL

February 6, 2014

WHITLEY COUNTY (Feb. 6, 2014) -- Whitley County will be moving to the ADVISORY level at noon today, according to Whitley County Emergency Management Agency.

"This means there maybe roads that are not quite two lanes, but are passable at this time," said EMA Director Cathy Broxon-Ball. "Please be patient with the plow drivers they are attempting to go over all the roads again today and try to make them wider. The snow is piled so high on the side of the roads there just anyplace to move it to."

Emergency officials say drivers should still use caution when traveling on county roads and even state highways as they are not totally cleared.

"Stay safe," Broxon-Ball said. "A weekend storm has a possibility of another 1 to 4 inches of snow at this time. I am hoping for the 1 inch total for the weekend."
