IN COURT: Yoha trial vacated; to be rescheduled

August 29, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY— A man arrested in a traffic stop-turned drug bust in the spring requested to reschedule his jury trial in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday.

Michael Yoha, 34, of Mansfield, Ohio, was scheduled to stand trial Sept. 10 for possession of cocaine and dealing a Schedule I, II or III controlled substance.

Yoha’s attorney, Brad Voelz, requested a pretrial conference for Oct. 14. At that time, he said he would work on establishing a new trial date for his client.

The motion to continue the pretrial conference and vacate the trial date was approved by Judge James Heuer.

Yoha was arrested April 30 with two other men, Edward Jones and Vaness Oliver.
