COLUMBIA CITY – Columbia City High School students will present a whodunit show featuring show-stopping musical numbers and suspenseful entertainment.
“Curtains, The Musical,” is a murder-mystery storyline centering around a cast of characters presenting their stage adaptation of Robin Hood in the Wild West. The show is set to perform April 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased from any cast member or at the door.
Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, played by junior Matt Swain, is ushered into the theater when the star of “Robbin’ Hood of the Old West” is murdered on opening night. His investigation requires the cast to be sequestered to the theater. Among those waiting out the investigation are songwriters Aaron Fox and Georgia Hendricks, played by senior Foster Eber and junior Hannah Schaefer.
Cioffi, who secretly wants to be an actor, is torn between the love of the stage and his duty to solve the murder. He forms a connection with the innocent and inexperienced understudy Niki Harris, played by senior Kirstie Crisp. Love starts to form between the two as the murder plot thickens.
