Dane Knote, 25

Dane Edward Knote, 25, of rural South Whitley, died Wednesday evening, Oct. 30, 2013.
He was born Feb. 6, 1988, in Columbia City, a son of Ernest J. and Linda L. (Graham) Knote. His formative years were spent in Cleveland Township, Whitley County. He attended Whitko High School.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Kloei Denise Day of Akron; his parents, Ernest and Linda Knote of South Whitley; two brothers, Jack Britt of South Whitley and Rodney Knote of Austin, Texas; a sister, Terrie Ross of Columbia City; and grandmothers, Lula Knote of Huntington and Velta Dickey of Bakersfield Calif.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Jack Knote, Bobby Graham and Charles Alvin Dickey.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. The burial will be in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington. The visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
