David Graves, 69

David A. Graves, 69, of Roanoke, Ind., passed away at 2:05 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born Nov. 19, 1942, in Allen County, he was the son of Deloss S. and Donna Belle (Swing) Graves-Gillam.
Mr. Graves graduated from Roanoke High School with the class of 1961. He was a lifetime resident of Roanoke, except for the time he served in the U.S. Air Force from May, 1961-1965.
On Sept. 5, 1964, he married Adelaide Patsy Levesque at St. Andre NB Canada. In Sept., 1999, he retired from Navistar with 30 years of service between the Fort Wayne and Springfield, Ohio., locations. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion, Roanoke.
Survivors include his wife, Adelaide Patsy Graves, of Roanoke; son, Thomas A. (Mary) Graves, of Columbia City; daughter, Lisa L. (Brent) Sunderland, of Columbia City; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with vigil at 3:30 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday at 10 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to the service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6th & Main Street, Roanoke.
Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Graves for Masses or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
