COLUMBIA CITY â€” Delays in the game happen in commercial real estate as well as football, there just is not a penalty assessed.
Dunhamâ€™s Sports will open in Columbia City, just not on the original timetable.
It was announced in January that the Michigan-based sporting goods company would be coming to Columbia City to occupy the former Scottâ€™s building.
The projected opening was in late May or early June, but that has been pushed back.
â€śIt took us a little longer to get the closing to acquire the property,â€ť said Jeff Kerr of Kerr Real Estate, the company that bought the property from Kroger. â€śTruthfully, these kinds of things happen all of the time in our business.â€ť
