DELAYED: Whitko baseball sectionals threatened by rain

May 25, 2012

Whitko’s sectional opener against Norwell was delayed twice in the first two innings Friday night at Bellmont due to lightening.

The game was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., but the first pitch wasn’t thrown until after 8 p.m., due to the first game taking longer than expected. As of 9:15 p.m., only two innings were completed.

Results from the game were not available at press time.

Above, Whitko’s team sits in the dug out after the game was delayed for the second time.
