DeLois Scott, 79

Shawnee resident, DeLois Jean Scott, 79, passed away June 5, 2012, in a midwest city nursing home.
DeLois was born May 19, 1933, in Wolfe Lake, the daughter of Burtis & Ina Mae (Johnson) Cunningham. She graduated from Larwill High School.
On March 10, 1962, she married Jack W. Scott. For 37 years she worked as a buyer for Dana Weatherhead Tool Plant in Columbia City.
For the last 15 years she had resided in Shawnee, Oklahoma to be closer to family, prior to that she lived in Columbia City. During her formative years she lived in Larwill. She was a die hard Cubs fan, and enjoyed music.
She was preceded in death by her parents. DeLois is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack W. Scott; two daughters, Brenda (Thomas) Smith and Lori (Corey)Walker; one stepson, Michael (Karen) Scott; three grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, at Walker Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
