COLUMBIA CITY — The final meeting of the Columbia City Beta Upsilon Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority was held at the home of Janelle Smith Dec. 2, 2013.

The remaining six members feasted their traditional cranberry pinwheels and cheeseballs along with homemade eggnog for the hors d’oeuvres.
The meal included celery salad, crown roast, sun dried tomatoes in steamed broccoli and herb roasted potatoes.

The members also enjoyed the traditional homemade cinnamon bread, a Smith specialty. Berry swirl cheesecake and peppermint bark chocolate completed the dinner.

Smith and her sister, DiAnna Weiss, have provided different homemade Christmas dinners for the sorority for the last several years.
The chapter is “saddened” by the need to disband, but grateful for the support of the community in its many philanthropic projects since its charter July 18, 1926.
