Developer requests PVC water pipes in city

December 3, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — With many construction companies moving to PVC (plastic) water pipes to save money, a local developer was present at last week’s Columbia City Board of Works meeting to request officials allow for PVC pipe.

Don Langeloh, a local developer, asked the board to consider allowing him to install PVC pipe on a new area he’s developing in the city, Ravenwood Court in Eagle Glen, as well as Lincoln Pointe addition, located near CR 300 East and U.S. 30.

“More and more developers and communities are going to this,” Langeloh said. “I think PVC is the next step for waterlines.”
