COLUMBIA CITY â€” Dixie Clingerman â€śSisâ€ť Nei, 71, passed away at 8:12 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis surrounded in love with her daughters and grandchildren.
She had become suddenly ill at her home on Wednesday.
She was born July 27, 1940, in Columbia City, the daughter of William F. and Irene (Heintzelman) Clingerman.
She spent her childhood in the Ormas area and graduated from North Webster High School with the class of 1958.
However, most of her adult life was spent at TriLakes, except from 1980 to 1990 when she resided in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
For brief periods she also lived in Pierceton and Larwill. She was a waitress most of her life, working at the Ten Pin, Pirates Cove and Goose Lake Resort.
Survivors include two daughters, Ronda K. York-Allen and Paula (Chad) McClain, both of Columbia City; seven granddaughters; two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson; five brothers and sisters, Joan Marks, Huntsville, Ohio, Ruth Douglas, Ormas, Nancy Wright, Panama City, Fla., Tony (Janice) Clingerman, Kimmell and Mary Kay (Bud) Walls, Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Benny F., William J. and Donald E. Clingerman.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday with the funeral service immediately following at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
Randy Grimes, Certified Funeral Celebrant will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given in her memory to the final expense account in care of DeMoney-Grimes.
