Donald R. Craig, 90, of Huntington, passed away at 3 a.m. June 21, 2014, at his residence in Huntington.
Mr. Craig was born Jan. 23, 1924, in Huntington, to Charles M. and Lona McCombs Craig.
Mr. Craig married Helene Marie Stoffel in Huntington April 15, 1944. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. She survives and lives in Huntington.
Mr. Craig is a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington. He was a dairy and grain farmer for more than 52 years. Donald enjoyed playing fiddle in blue grass groups, and enjoyed antique tractors. He was a friend to everyone he met.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Connie (Tim) Konz, Linda (John) Scheiber, Marilyn (Ron) Eppard, all of Huntington, and Shirley (Trent) Smith, of Columbia City; 16 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, William E. Craig, Ray H. Craig, and Robert Craig; two sisters, Deloris Britter and Mary Rittenhouse, and one granddaughter, Theresa Konz.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday June 24, 2014, with recition of the rosary service at 6 p.m. At McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St. Huntington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday with one hour calling at 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
